The Department

The City of Baldwin Fire Department provides public fire education, inspection, investigation, suppression and rescue services. The department consists of 9 paid firefighters working on a 24 hour and 48 hour rotation. Both the Fire Chief, Joe Roy, and Assistant Fire Chief, Shaun Benfield, work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and are on-call at all times.

Our department helps other police and fire departments around us with training to ensure car seat safety. Call us to schedule a safety check, or to see when our next event is.

Home Fire Safety Survey

The City of Baldwin Fire Department assists city residents with conducting the Home Fire Safety Survey. To request assistance please call.

Training

The City of Baldwin Fire Department requires each firefighter to receive a minimum of 20 hours of training per month, and engage in daily physical training.
