The Department
The City of Baldwin Fire Department provides public fire education, inspection, investigation, suppression and rescue services. The department consists of 9 paid firefighters working on a 24 hour and 48 hour rotation. Both the Fire Chief, Joe Roy, and Assistant Fire Chief, Shaun Benfield, work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and are on-call at all times.

Training
The City of Baldwin Fire Department requires each firefighter to receive a minimum of 20 hours of training per month, and engage in daily physical training.
